Legislator Wayne Horsley visited Santapogue Elementary School students in West Babylon to discuss the importance of reading. Horsley spoke with children in every classroom, distributed bookmarks, and encouraged them to read on a nightly basis. The visit was part of the school's Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) program. On Tuesday, March 20, residents in the Deer Park District will be asked to accept $1.3 million in New York State EXCEL funds, which the district will use for capital improvements throughout the district.
