Annemarie Lenio of the Deer Park School Distrtict, and her career and financial management class, along with social studies teacher Richard Sabatino visited the Cradle of Aviation in Nassau County. The former Mitchel Field hangars are home to 70 flying machines spanning Long Island's aviation heritage. Tour guides led the youngsters from an early air meet on the Hempstead Plains and continued to the surface of the moon to witness Neil Armstrong's 1969 "small step...giant leap" from an authentic Grumman Lunar Module.
