Edson Edmunds, West Islip teacher and former Amityville resident
      Edson H. Edmunds, a 38-year resident of Amityville, died January 19, 2007 at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Nursing Home in Arcadia, Wisconsin. He was 81 years old. Mr. Edmunds was born May 10, 1925, to Maynard and Edna (Lutze) Edmunds in Brooklyn.

Michael Alfano: dedicated Brightwaters Village deputy mayor
      Carmine Michael Alfano, who was just reelected as trustee and Assistant Mayor for the Village of Brightwaters, so loved his community he tirelessly dedicated himself to serving it. Mr. Alfano, known as "Michael" died January 24, 2007 at the age of 75.

      Former West Islip resident and professional carpenter Louis Anthony Caggioni died suddenly in Hilton Head, North Carolina on January 23, 2006. He was 43 years old and had moved from Long Island in 2000.

Albert Ossana: James Street Players Theater member
      Longtime Bay Shore resident Albert Charles Ossana loved the theater. He would frequently go into Manhattan to see plays and although could not be persuaded to act on stage, he was active behind the-scenes. He was a member of the James Street Players community theater group in Babylon. Mr. Ossana died January 26, 2007 at the age of 74.
