Vintage sleigh displayed in Babylon

The Village of Babylon has allowed the Babylon Public Library to display a vintage sleigh as part of its holiday decorations. The sleigh was originally owned by George Keyser, a florist in Babylon Village, and is normally housed in the Conklin House barn.

Shown in the photo, Library Director Marina Sullivan, second from left, offered her thanks to Mayor Ralph Scordino, left; Eugene Turner, a member of the Conklin House Steering Committee and Skip Gardner, far right, for their help in allowing the library the loan of this local treasure.

The Babylon Public Library is located at 24 South Carll Avenue in Babylon Village. For directions or further information, please call the library at 631- 669-1624.
