Babylon Town holds annual holiday lighting celebration

Santa Claus came via a North Lindenhurst Fire Truck as the Town of Babylon celebrated its annual holiday lighting celebration Sunday, December 10. Crowds gathered at dusk and the evening began with the Twin Shores Chorus singing holiday songs, as well as songs from the fifties.

The North Babylon Robert Moses Jr. High School Marching Band played a holiday medley as they marched through the parking lot of Town Hall. The Town residents gathered around the Christmas tree and counted down...10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2—1 and the tree awoke in a blaze of colorful lights.

Afterward, Santa handed out bags full of gifts to the children. The children were excited to receive stickers, sticker books, holiday pencils, and crayons as the West Babylon High School chorus sang holiday cheers.

Hot chocolate and cookies were served and 101.1 Jack FM gave out promos.
