At the November meeting of the Amityville Woman's Club at the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club they announced their participation in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program. With the proceeds they buy new toys and new clothing for local children who are in need. All gifts will be distributed in time for the holidays.

At the same meeting, money had been collected to purchase Stop'n Shop gift cards for two families from the Park Avenue Elementary School in Amityville. These cards were presented to school worker Bill Bernadine just in time for Thanksgiving.
