BSD seventh graders at the Conklin House

Seventh graders in the new AEP Program at Babylon Junior-Senior High School have made a holiday tree skirt to be raffled at the historic Conklin House Holiday House Tour. They used their handsewing skills for this community service project, overseen by community volunteers Joy Torrey and Karin Cotter. The students also adopted the Gathering Room at the Conklin House and each made a turn-of-thecentury ornament for the live tree and decorated the room after school.

Shown with teacher Cindy Theiss and the finished tree skirt are some of the youngsters who helped create the gift for the Historical Society, Celine Ibanez, Pamela Dupre, Hannah Wyllie and Emily Church.
