Babylon student to attend Newport Naval Academy
Babylon High School senior Taylor Garrison Reynolds, son of Tom and Cathy Reynolds, has been selected to attend the Naval Academy Preparatory Schools at Newport, Rhode Island in August 2007. Successful completion of this program, along with recommendations of the Commanding Officer and the Naval Academy Admissions Board, will assure his selection to the Naval Academy Class of 2012.
As an undergraduate college student of the Navy, Reynolds will receive from the Naval Academy training to become a leader in the Naval Service. Currently, he is the president of the Babylon Senior Class, a member of the Student Council, the Spanish Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. He is also a lacrosse, track and soccer athlete, recently designated as All- Conference in soccer.
