L o n g - t i m e Babylon Village resident Robert Shauer recently donated a copy of all Pulitzer Prize winning fiction novels from 1918-2006 to the Babylon Public Library in memory of his parents, Samuel and Ruth Shauer. Shauer attributes his love of reading to his parents who were avid readers. He feels this gift, which totals 81 books, not only honors his parents but also is a way for him to share his passion with others.

The library held a small dedication ceremony at which Shauer was hon- ored by the library’s Board of Trustees.
