Man sought for bank robbery in East Farmingdale

Suffolk County Major Case Detectives and Crime Stoppers are seeking the identity of a man who robbed an East Farmingdale bank.

On Monday, November 27, 2006 at approximately 2:00 p.m. a man entered Commerce Bank, 2025 Route 110, East Farmingdale and verbally threatened the teller. The robber received an undisclosed amount of cash and a dye pack.

The suspect is described as a black male, late 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’9" in height, medium build. He was wearing a green baseball cap, dark green sweatshirt, sunglasses, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.00 for information that leads to an arrest.
