West Babylon student selected for Suffolk County Golden Football Team
Eric Baranek, senior at West Babylon High School, was recently selected by the Executive Board of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, Inc. as a member of the 2006 Suffolk County Golden Eleven-Football Team. Out of more than 1,500 students who participated in scholastic football, Eric was one of the chosen scholar athletes. As a member of the Golden Eleven, he represents the best and brightest of the C ounty.
Along with the prestige, Eric will receive a scholarship of $500 for his exemplified excellence on the athletic field, as well as in the classroom and the community. He will be honored at the 12th annual Scholar Athlete brunch in December.
