Bayard Cutting Arboretum concert to be held January 7

This year, the Islip Arts Council celebrates its milestone 31st season of presenting fine music in its free concert series. On January 7, 2 p.m., the acclaimed flute/guitar duo Serenade will be returning to the stage in the Carriage House at Bayard cutting Arboretum, Great River.

The Serenade Duo, Michelle LaPorte on flute and Gerry Saulter on guitar, are recipients of many awards and honors. They were awarded a recording grant by the Contemporary Record Society for Performing Arts and won the Artists International Special Presentation Award.
