West Babylon man charged in 7-Eleven robbery

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives arrested a 25-year-old West Babylon man today for the strong-arm robbery of the 7-11 on Rte. 109, West Babylon, on November 21 at 1:50 p.m.

Andrew F. Koehler, 25, of 527 17th St., West Babylon, was arrested after detectives received information that tied him to the crime.

On November 21, Koehler entered the 7-11, went to the counter and pushed and shoved the owner, forcing him to relinquish $200 in cash. Koehler then fled on foot. The store is located diagonally across Rte. 109 from the First Precinct.

Koehler was charged with 1 count of Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip tomorrow.
