BabylonVillage to kick off holiday celebrations this weekend

The two events that mark the official kickoff to the holiday season in Babylon Village will be held December 3-the annual tree lighting ceremony and Wassail Bowl.

The tree lighting is scheduled for 4 p.m., and residents are urged to join their neighbors and friends for this annual event.

The Babylon Village Historical and Preservation Society will hold its annual holiday Wassail Bowl on Sunday, December 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. The highlight of this holiday event is the drawing for the quilt which takes place at the museum immediately following the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Argyle Park.

Each year, the Historical Society's Heritage Quilters handcraft a one-of-kind heirloom quality quilt that is raffled at the Wassail Bowl. Proceeds from the Quilt Raffle support the educa-

tional, cultural, and social programs the society sponsors throughout the year. It is the society's main fund raiser.

Quilt Raffle tickets are $2 each; 3 for $5; or 6 for $10. Call 669-1756 to purchase tickets.
