November was an exciting month for BVAC. A Wine and cheese reception was held at the Babylon Village Historical Society Building on November 3 to bring the watercolor artwork of local Babylon resident Anne Chiavoli to the Babylon community. About 45 people attended the reception and discussed the art with the artist. This is the first joint art show sponsored by BVAC and the Babylon Village Historical and Preservation Society.

KJ Denhert an urban folk and jazz singer/ songwriter entertained about 50 music lovers at the Second Thursday Concert Series held at Astoria Federal Bank on November 11. The music led many in the audience to move to the rhythmic sounds from guitars, drums and keyboards.

On December 1, the Night of Shopping, stop by the Conklin House to listen to Larry Moser playing an antique hammered dulcimer. Larry's historical music filled the Meeting room during the Apples N Arts reception.

BVAC is always reaching out to many in the community involved in all areas of art. Beryl Menger, Debbie and Tom Melito and Victoria Carra will present New York like windows in Babylon Village on the Night of Shopping. Maggie Rose Melito, a ninth grade student from Babylon High School will be directing fellow teens in a reading of the "Night Before Christmas" in the window of the old Fox Framing while Drew Norman will be assisting in the lighting. Victoria Carra, from Positions, will be entertaining strollers with a seasonal scene.
