Babylon School District honors its longtime employees

Babylon School District annually honors its longtime employees when they reach the 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35-year marks. On November 7th, during a special assembly in Rowe Hall, the following staff members were presented with plaques by their principals, Board of Education President Darrell J. Conway and Vice President Judith Anderson, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ellen Best-Laimit.

Honored at Babylon Elementary School are Patrick Chatterton, Donna Cabral and Donna Grosso for 20 years; Geraldine Proto for 25 years, and Theresa Altieri for 35 years.

Honored at Memorial Grade School are Richard Punzone for 15 years, Patricia Murphy for 25 years, and Patricia Mastrandrea for 35 years.

Those honored at Babylon Junior-Senior High School, are Angela Schnepp (30 years), Marshall Aykroyd (30 years), Laura Jayne (15 years), and Constance O'Shea (15 years). They are shown with Principal Rob Visbal, Board President and Vice President Darrell Conway and Judith Anderson, and Superintendent Dr. Best-Laimit. Also honored from the Junior-Senior High School, but not available for the photo were: Lorraine Festa (15 years), Charles Jacob (20 years) and John Cooke (20 years).

"This is one of our most special celebrations," says Dr. Best-Laimit.
