North Babylon's band camp prepares students
North Babylon's high school students involved in the marching band had time to hone their skills this summer. Marching band teens spent the week of August 21, preparing for future half time shows and the Newsday Marching Band Festival at Hofstra. The students worked on features including Superheroes, the Incredibles, Superman and Mission Impossible. The kids were also the recipients of gifts from Starbucks, Friendly's, Applebees, New York Islanders, New York Jets, Long Island Ducks and Splish Splash. Frank Rizzo and Jay Orig directed the marching band camp.
