Bond will help maintain quality of life in Babylon Village Dear Editor: I consider both myself and my family to be privileged to live in this beautiful village. I grew up here, left briefly, and came back to nest and bring my children up in this quaint, caring and supportive community. I believe we have an excellent school system. I also believe that we do have a very charming Village that puts forth a tremendous effort in building and maintaining a strong community spirit. With the bond proposals on November 14 comes the ability to keep up with the quality of life in both our schools directly and indirectly in our village that we all have come to know and love. This, in turn, will allow the value of our homes to continue to rise in relation to the quality of our community. I'm not saying that we, as individual taxpayers, shouldn't question what ultimately happens to our tax dollars. On the contrary, I feel it is our right and duty as a taxpayer to investigate and question how the money for these bonds will be appropriated. Therfore, I implore each and every one of you to do two things. First, go down and visit our High School Football Field and Tennis Courts to understand the need of replacement. Second, go to the BHS administration office and read for yourself the "Buildings and Grounds Condition Survey". I did, and I will tell you if you choose to read, please bring a cup of strong coffee it's not exactly an exciting document. However there is enough documentation to warrant the need of the line items that are in the bond issue. If you take these steps you, will see the need to invest in our community's future.
