American troops deserve our support Dear Editor: Regarding your editorial of November 1 stating your general support of the War in Iraq and the Bush administration, I find that this is the same position expressed by most of the people I know. I think we all feel that our brave troops deserve all the support they can get. This is unlike the Vietnam War when violent street protests against the war were conducted by students and other young people who were being drafted to fight the war, because of the "all volunteer army." This is obviously not the case today. I feel this is the major difference between Vietnam and Iraq. I think that those of us who agree with your position should reflect on whether we would continue the support of the war if we felt that eventually our children would have to fight in it.
