"Suffolk County Legislator Lou D'Amaro (D-North Babylon) recently joined with a host of local elected officials and community leaders in honoring two of Suffolk's most prolific advocates for persons with disabilities at the United Cerebral Palsy 2006 Legislative Breakfast. Mitchell Pally, outgoing Director of Government Affairs for the Long Island Association, was presented with the
Community Leadership Award, and Bruce Blower, Director of the Suffolk County Office of Handicapped Services, was presented with the Government Leadership Award. UCP, one of the leading charitable organizations on Long Island, advances the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
