Islip's annual Holiday HouseTour to be held Sunday, December 3

The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will be hosting its 13th annual Holiday House Tour Sunday, December 3, noon to 4 p.m. This year's tour will include a reception with live entertainment, featuring the voices of Twin County Chorus Sweet Adelines and refreshments will be served. There will be house tour guides in period clothing welcoming tour participants to a number of Islip's historically and/or architecturally significant homes decorated for the holidays and one of Islip's fine old churches and antique cars whirling around town.

Tickets can be purchased beginning November 1 in person by visiting Nook & Cranny Collectibles & Gift located at 3

Grant Ave., Islip or by writing the Society at P.O. Box 601, Islip, NY 11751. Remaining tickets will be available on the day of the tour at the Islip Town Hall Rotunda, 655 Main St., Islip, at noon for registration and tickets purchase. Tickets are a $20 donation per adult, 16 years or older. All tickets are non-refundable and the tour will run despite given weather conditions. All proceeds raised from this year's Annual Holiday House Tour will go toward the group's scholarship fund and enable the Society to help with school programs and field trips that are of a historic nature for the students to enjoy.
