Islip Town board welcomes new director

Islip Town Supervisor Eric M. Hofmeister and Town Board members recently attended swearing-in ceremonies for incoming Foreign Trade Zone Director Olga Murray, shown third from right, held at Town Hall. The Foreign Trade Zones holds foreign and domestic merchandise considered to be an international commerce, which are only subject to customs duty and

excise taxes when they are transferred out of the zone.

Participating in the event, left to right, were Councilman William J. Rowley, Councilman Christopher D. Bodkin, ex-Foreign Trade Zone Director Kristin MacKay, Supervisor Hofmeister, Director Murray, Councilwoman J. Greene and Councilman Steven J. Flotteron.
