CAPS awards Johnson

Alane Fagin, executive director of Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS), presented Senator Owen Johnson with a plaque honoring his commitment to keeping every child safe from harm. A legislative appropriation from the Senator has helped CAPS, Long Island's leading organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, bring its Prevention Through Education programs to more than 1,000 Long Island classrooms since the start of the school year. CAPS made the presentation to Senator Johnson as part of the observance of April's Child Abuse Prevention Month.
