Babylon sixth grader chosen for Jr. Scholastic World Press Corp.

Jonathan Amdur, a sixth grade student at Babylon Grade School, was chosen as one of 31 children from around the world to be a member of Junior Scholastic World Press Corp. One of the criteria for being chosen was to write an article about his town. He has written articles, which can be viewed online, on the Olympics, Earth Day and he was a celebrity guest at Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus. He actually was brought into the center ring. He interviewed the star of the show as well as clowns, trainers and performers. Amdur will be covering local events, as well as New York area events. He will be a member of the Press Corp. for one year.

Junior Scholastic News is a printed newsletter delivered worldwide to students in all elementary schools as well as being available online around the world.
