by Margaret Pirrone

Dave and Buster's is a restaurant with an element of entertainment added, namely video gaming. In addition to the traditional dining experiences, patrons can indulge themselves by playing video games at the restaurant.

The menu includes more than a dozen appetizers, ranging in price from $3.59 for either chicken tortilla soup or soup of the day to $13.99 for the appetizer trio, that serves four people. Other appetizers include tempura fried mushrooms ($5.99), spinach artichoke dip ($8.29), cajun popcorn shrimp ($6.79), cheese fondue fries ($5.99), and avocado shitake and poblano quesadillas ($7.24). The chicken tortilla soup referred to above is a Tex-Mex spicy tomato based broth with south of the border seasonings, chicken, corn and potatoes topped with crispy tortilla strips and cheese.

Salads included on the menu range in price from $3.99 for either a Caesar salad or a a house salad (fresh salad greens, topped with cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, and crispy tortilla strips, served with choice of dressing) to $9.99 for a chicken avocado BLT salad ( a low carb salad, consisting of grilled chicken breast and crispy bacon on a bed of fresh lettuce with tomatoes, avocado, gorgonzola and choice of dressing.)

I ordered the Jack Daniel's sirloin steak ($15.99), which consisted of an eight ounce U.S.D.A. choice sirloin glazed with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, served with "loaded" mashed potatoes and crispy frazzled onions. I found this meal to be of average quality and taste

Combination dishes are also included on the menu. Examples include the chargrilled sirloin and shrimp ($18.99). this combo dish consists of an eight ounce U.S.D.A. sirloin served with "loaded" mashed potatoes and choice of tender shrimp, grilled and glazed with chipotle-honey sauce or batter and fried crispy.

The menu includes a few rib entrees. Examples include the Jack Daniel's BBQ ribs ($12.49/half rack and $18.99/ full rack), which consists of a hefty

serving of slow-cooked "St. Louis style" pork ribs glazed with Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce, served with "loaded" mashed potatoes.
