Sen. Johnson secures grant to support breast cancer programs

NYS Senator Owen Johnson secured a $45,000 grant to support programs at Breast Cancer Help’s Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center. Shown (left-right) are Breast Cancer Help, Inc. founder and co-president, Lorraine Pace; NYS Senator Owen Johnson; and Breast Cancer Help Board of Directors member Lynda Distler. Pace, Johnson and Distler are seen holding a mock check representing funds in the amount of $45,000.00 secured by Senator Johnson for Breast Cancer Help’s Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center. The grant will be utilized by Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center to fund awareness and support programs for cancer patients and survivors. Senator Johnson has been a long-time supporter in the fight against breast cancer, including his support of Pace’s breast cancer mapping project and other awareness activities and programs spearheaded by Breast Cancer Help, Inc.
