Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco, shown left, was recently presented with an American Flag that flew over Iraq with our military forces. The U.S. flag flew over Camp Victory, the Crossed Swords Monument and the Abu Ghraib Prison in Baghdad. Col. Cary Pollack of the U.S. Army Reserve, center, a Brigadier surgeon for the 800th Military Brigade who served in Iraq, made the presentation to Sheriff DeMarco. Dr. Pollack is also the executive vice president of the Police Surgeons Benevolent Association, whose members provide health care and support for all law enforcement personnel both during time of a disaster and for preventive care. The lifeguards updated the walls to reflect the different landscapes in and around the Village. Kelly is a junior art major at Alfred University, and Shawna is in her first year at Alfred University, majoring in art and preveterinarian.
