On Wednesday, October 11, Lindenhurst High School will host a special program titled Rachel's Challenge, a presentation geared to "inspire, instruct, and enable students to bring positive change to their school atmosphere." Formed by family members and friends of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine school shooting, Rachel's Challenge helps to spread her words of acceptance, tolerance and compassion amongst high school students.

For members of the community, the high school will host a special nighttime presentation of Rachel's Challenge on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. During this session, parents, guardians, and community leaders will be asked to take part in a challenge to help positively influence their children's decisions. All area residents are welcome to attend.
