Robert and Helen Williams of Babylon Village and Edward and Janet Costello of Old Brookville announce the engagement of their children Shannon Kerry Socko to Edward Costello III.

Shannon is a surgical intensive care nurse at Nassau County Medical Center and Edward is a sergeant for the New York Police Department. An October 2007 wedding is planned.
