Alfred and Marilyn Mahlmann, of West Islip, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a gathering with family and friends on September 9. Marilyn is a former schoolteacher and Alfred is a retired plant manager from Brookhaven National Laboratory. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
