Longtime Babylon resident Emma May Collier died September 5, 2006 in Florida. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Collier lived on Litchfield Avenue for 38 years, from 1943 to 1981. During the 1960s and 70s she worked at the Babylon High School cafeteria and was a longtime active, member of the Long Island Yacht Club. According to her family, she also loved to play the organ.
Mrs. Collier's funeral and burial were held privately in Ocala, Florida. She leaves behind her children: June (Dean), Albert, Walter, William and Wayne; her seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; as well as other loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, who was a longtime Babylon volunteer firefighter and Union electrician.
