The West Babylon School District was recently visited by Dr. Timothy Rasinski, National Literacy expert. Rasinski held workshops on fluency and comprehension for educators in the district's Performing Arts Center. He is a professor of education at Kent State University who has written hundreds of articles and has edited and authored many books on reading education. Rasinski currently serves as a board member of the International Reading Association and co-editor of the Journal of Literacy Research.
