Town of Babylon recognizes work of United Way

Angela Brooks, special assistant to the Town of Babylon supervisor and United Way campaign manager, along with Janice E. Tinsley Colbert, Town Clerk, present a certificate of appreciation to Michael Cooney, senior vice president of resource development at United Way, and Lisa Ditta, account executive at United Way, in recognition of United Way's longtime support of the Town of Babylon community. Last year, more than $101,000 was awarded to Town of Babylon United Way community partner organizations, including Federations of Organizations/ Foster Grandparents Program, Mental Health Association in Suffolk County, North Amityville Community Economic Council, Wyandanch Homes and Property Development Corp., and Wyandanch Youth Services. Town of Babylon employees also contribute thousands of dollars to United Way of Long Island annually through their workplace giving campaign.
