Santapogue Elementary School's fourth and fifth grade select chorus recently made history in the West Babylon Union-Free School District by being the first elementary school music ensemble to compete for a rating in the NYSSMA Majors Festival. This talented group of 29 singers, directed by Lisa Perry and accompanied by Brad Drinkwater, performed three Level One pieces for the judges. The students impressed the judges and earned the highest honor at the festival - Gold with Distinction.
