A proposal to construct condominiums on property located on the southeast corner of Park Avenue and North Carll is expected to be presented to the Village of Babylon within several weeks, according to the owner, Theresa Santmann. The property, which formerly housed an adult living facility and two small homes and barns, has already been cleared.

Santmann said she and her architects have already had informal discussions with the Village with regard to how to best develop the land, but has not made any formal applications for development of the site to date.

"I am waiting anxiously to do that," said Santmann, pointing out that she wants to see something built there that will be an enhancement to the area. The property is located at 151-163

North Carll Avenue and 56 Park Avenue and is currently zoned for retail business, according to Village records. Before any plans for development there can be approved, the property must be rezoned, which falls under the perview of the Babylon Village Board of Trustees.
