Heritage Quilters handcraft lap quilts for headstart program
2006-07-27 / People/Social
Heritage Quilters from the Babylon Village Historical and Preservation Society handcrafted 36 lap quilts and accompanying carry totes for the youngest children who attend the B r e n t w o o d Headstart program. As part of their routine, the 36 three to five year-olds take a nap each day. The center requires children, who attend fulltime, to bring their own blanket for nap time. The quilters also handcrafted a full-size quilt for the center to raffle off. Funds raised will be used to take the children on field trips.
