John E. Lauer, of East Islip, died June 13, 2006. He was 73 years old. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957.

Mr. Lauer is predeceased by his wife Margaret; his children and their spouses John Lauer Jr. , Jeanette Bayer and Steven Lauer; his grandchildren John, Seth, Kristen and Mike Lauer and Matthew and Madison Bayer; his brother Eugene Lauer and many friends.

Mr. Lauer reposed at the Sandles Funeral Home, 98 Carleton Ave., Islip Terrace. Wake prayers were said Thursday, June 15, 2006. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was said Friday, June 16, 2006 at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Islip Terrace. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton.
