Honoring the accomplishments of our community scholars, Suffolk County Legislator Lou D'Amaro (D-Deer Park) recently attended Deer Park High School's Senior Awards Night. The annual event recognizes students achievements in a wide variety of areas. Legislator D'Amaro presented the Volunteer of the Year Award to Kaitlyn Bergin, whose philanthropic efforts included raising money for the American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity, mentoring elementary school students, and volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital and her local public library.
