Louis J. Danna, of Bay Shore, died May 16, 2006. He was 88 years old.

Mr. Danna was a member of the NYPD Columbia Association. He was a decorated World War II sergeant who served in the Pacific and a retired New York City Police Detective.

Survivors include his wife, Angelina RinaldiDanna; his siblings Josephine Lombardi, Anna Competiello and her husband Stephen and Carmela Serani and her husband Silvio and aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and cousins. His sister Mary Silvestri, his brother Anthony and his brother-in-law Gerald Silvestri predeceased him.

Mr. Danna reposed at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel, 47 Jerusalem Ave. A mass was said Friday, May 19, 2006 at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church, Woodbury. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
