The Town of Babylon recently held an essay contest for all junior high students that attend school within the Town. The theme of the essay was Why Should We Honor Our Veterans. Babylon Junior High students won first, second and third place in the competition. Each winner read their essay at Town Hall in front of a group of veterans.

First place winner is Claire Buser, a student in Mr. Ryan’s eighth grade class; second place, Charles Gambino, a student in Mr. Vergano’s seventh grade class and third place, Ashley Korkidis, a student in Mr. Vergano’s seventh grade class.
