The American Legion Babylon Post #94 has an ongoing Support Our Troops Drive to assist our service men and women in harm’s way overseas.

Recently the groups received a donation through the efforts of the Village liaison for the Post Ron Lasley. The donation was a check from the Babylon Rotary Club for $250. Thomas Kane was instrumental in securing this donation from the Rotary Club.

Drives are held in front of supermarkets in the Babylon area. Donations are also welcome of specific items and money, which is used for the purpose of purchasing international phone cards for the troops.

The Village of Babylon offices will be closed and there will be no rubbish or garbage pick-up Monday, February 20 in observance of President’s Day. Residents are asked to not put rubbish or recycling out to the curb on holidays. These items should be put out the following week on your regular scheduled rubbish/recycling day.
