Julius C. Ward, of Bay Shore, died December 24, 2005. He was 87 years old.

Mr. Ward was a 40-year member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Mr. Ward is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Ann. Survivors include his companion Norma Bonavia; his children Nancy, Alice Roberts, Sarah Eubanks, Steven and Susan Whitney; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Ward reposed at the Overton Funeral Home, 172 Main St., Islip. A memorial service was said Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the United Methodist Church of Bay Shore. Cremation was private. Donations in his name to the Stony Brook School, Development Office, 1 Chapman Pkwy., Stony Brook, NY 11790, would be appreciated.
