Babylon Village Clerk Patrica Carley awarded NYS Certification
Babylon Village Clerk Patrica Carley is congratulated by Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino on Carley's attaining certification as a registered municipal clerk. Babylon Village Clerk Patricia Carley has been awarded the New York State Association of City & Village Clerks certification as a RegisteredMunicipal Clerk. The award recognized her for professional competency in fulfilling the responsibilities of her office.
“We are pleased to have Ms. Carley as a member of our Association and deeply appreciate your encouragement of her in the Registered Municipal Clerk program,” Bonnie J. Page, chairperson of the association’s certification committee wrote in a letter or BabylonV illage Mayor Ralph Scordino in December. “It reflects your understanding of the purpose of our association and your commitment to professional development and growth.” Scordino made the announcement
of Carley’s achievement at a January meeting of the Village’s Board of Trustees.
The association was founded in 1909 and has 676 members from across New York State. It provides a medium for the exchange of ideas and experiences while working to enhance the professional service its members provide to elected officials and communities. Certification is only granted to a member after he or she has demonstrated that they have met the high educational, experience and participatory standards established by the association
