POLICE BLOTTER Wyandanch: Someone broke into a Straight Path home sometime before 3 p.m., September 26, stealing a number of undisclosed items. West Babylon: On September 23, shortly before 7 a.m., someone gained entry to a room at a Wright Street home. Several articles were taken. •Someone broke into a Chelsea Avenue home the afternoon of September 22 and stole a number of items. North Lindenhurst: The occupants of a North Niagara Avenue home returned at 10:15 a.m., September 21 to find that someone had broken in and left the premises in disarray. Several items were stolen during the spree. •Avis Rent-A-Car on West Sunrise Highway was the scene of a break-in September 26. The incident occurred at about 8 p.m. West Islip: While the occupants of a Sea Breeze Lane home slept the night of September 25 someone broke in and stole a number of items. GRAND LARCENY West Babylon: Someone stole a number of tools from a Bahama Street construction site September 26. The theft took place sometime that evening. Babylon: Someone stole a tan 2005 Chevy Malibu parked on Deer Park Avenue September 22. The theft was discovered at 8 p.m. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Deer Park: Someone threw eggs at a car on Bruno Lane September 24. The incident took place at about 3 p.m. •Sometime during the overnight hours between September 23 and 24, someone vandalized storage units at a Deer Park Avenue complex. North Babylon: On September 23, shortly before 11 p.m., someone drove their car up onto the front lawn of a Kime Avenue home causing extensive damage. West Babylon: At 2:45 a.m. on September 25, the owner of a car parked on Mount Avenue discovered that someone had broken the rear window of the car. •Several cars parked on a Wyandanch Avenue property were vandalized during the early morning hours of September 26. •The rear window of a car parked on Belmont Avenue was shattered September 25 just before midnight by an unknown person who fled the scene. •At 2:30 a.m. on September 25, someone smashed the rear window of a car parked on Walker Street. ARRESTS DWI: The following persons have been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired: Arthur R. Buscemi, 89 Leo La., Deer Park; Dennis J. Horrigan, 422 15th St., West Babylon; Ayla C. Kaatsiz, 15 Cutter Court, West Islip; Bradley J. Tuma, 723 Keith La., West Islip; Crisanto Aguilar, 95A South 31st St., Wyandanch; Thomas J. Carini, 825 Elmwood Rd., West Babylon; Kamilo Dabiowski, 103 6th St., North Lindenhurst; Robert B. Harrdeman, 92 South 26th St., Wyandanch; Veronica M. Rich, 37 Chateau Dr., Melville; Nathan M. Stark, 65-31 173rd St., Flushing; Burglary: Vanesa Santos, 184 Third Ave., West Babylon; Endangering the Welfare of a Child: Hermine Gauthier, 41 Noble St., W Babylon; Menacing w/Weapon: Brian Henry: 414 North Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst; Criminal Sexual Act: Mark L. Schmutz, 419 North Erie St., Lindenhurst. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
