For more than a dozen years, Brenda Duff worked as a librarian for the Copiague Public Library. After her retirement, she returned to her beloved career and worked there until her death on September 29, 2005.

Brenda M. Duff died at New Island Hospital in Bethpage. She was 59 years old.

Born in Manhattan to Gladstone A. and Louise C. (Johnson), she spent her life in Amityville.

Mrs. Duff is survived by her children: Robin of Wyandanch and Renee of Amityville; her siblings: Rhonda Graham of New Jersey and Gregory Dale of California; her grandchildren: Kadijah, Kayla, Kevon, Eternity, Elasia and Eleise.

Reverend Eugene A. McAshan, pastor of Bethel AME Church officiated a Methodist service on October 5, 2005 at the Powell Funeral Home in Amityville. A private cremation followed with interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
