Fifth grade students at South Bay Elementary School recently learned the importance of the Democratic Process with their selection of student council members. After listening to each nominee present a speech outlining their platform, students voted by secret ballot. The following students were selected as this year’s officers: president - Timothy Aebli, vice president - Thomas Atz, secretary - Taylor Kelly, and treasurer - Ryan Napolitano. The twelve-member student council, under the supervision of faculty advisor Janet Blum, is responsible for organizing numerous school wide community service activities.
