Poster Pet of the Week

(See photo of Chewie having his own Boston Tea Party.) Donna has nursed back his strength. He’s building muscle. Our once frail boy loves to swim and run. Yes, run! He even runs up and down flights of concrete steps, chasing the ball with his siblings- Sally, Matsi, and Red. His online fans clamor for more Chewbacca updates.

Chewbacca’s story is a miracle a la Petfinder. As Donna writes, "Chewbacca is HOME," and home is much more than a shared sandwich. It’s a life in luxury. Chewbacca has found heaven on earth.

Note: Petfinder is a national God send. This free service is coordinating the online databank trying desperately to reunite the displaced hurricane pets too. To date, over 11,000 Gulf pets are listed as FOUND and over 15,000 offers to volunteer are being processed.

Plenty of other dogs and cats at Babylon Town Shelter (643- 9270) Lamar St. W. Babylon would like a taste of the good life. Our kittens and cats come in all sizes and colors. There are puppies and a selection of adult dogs: a white female Boxer in Cage 93 and "Lucky"- a tan smooth Shep/Lab in Cage 87. "Frankie" the brindle Beagle mix in Cage 43 would gladly give up his day job as the Town park goose patrol dog if he could find a forever home. See more photos on Babylon Shelter’s Petfinder site, of course!
