The following incidents have been reported by the Suffolk County Police Department's First Precinct and other local fire and law enforcement agencies or go online to www.babylonbeacon.com:

ROBBERY

Wyandanch: Two men entered an Amoco gas station on Straight Path August 11 at about 9 a.m., stole $300 and fled on foot. Police combed the neighborhood in search of the thieves, but were not successful in apprehending any suspects.

East Farmingdale: A man brandishing a handgun stole jewelry from a victim on Rte 109. The theft occurred on August 13 at about 4 a.m.

BURGLARY

Deer Park: At 3 p.m. on August 11, the residents at a Nicolls Road home discovered that in their absence someone gained entry and stole several items.

•Upon arriving home on August 11 at about 3:30 p.m., an East Jeffryn Boulevard resident discovered a front door shattered and a cash box hidden in the house missing.

Babylon: On August 13, at 8 p.m., the residents of a Green Avenue home discovered someone had broken in and had taken an assortment of items.

GRAND LARCENY

West Islip: On August 12 at about 11:15 a.m., a woman in a Union Boulevard King Kullen supermarket had her wallet stolen from her purse as she was shopping. The thief escaped undetected.

Deer Park: Someone stole the tires off a red Audi parked in a Dix Hills apartment complex the night of August 15. The theft was discovered at 10:30 p.m.

•On August 11 at about 4:40 p.m. a man on a bicycle grabbed $300 out of the hand of another man walking on Suburban Avenue and rode off.

Wyandanch: An unarmed subject stole an undisclosed amount of money from another man on Straight Path the morning of August 15. The robbery took place at about 10:45 a.m.

North Babylon: A 1988 Jeep parked on Sheffield Avenue was stolen August 12 sometime before 5 p.m.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

East Farmingdale: Someone vandalized a car parked on Rte. 110 August 12. The damage was discovered at 8 a.m.

•On August 11 at about 9:30 p.m. someone vandalized private property on Fulton Street.

•Cargo containers were vandalized and broken into at an Executive Boulevard freight facility the evening of August 12. It is not known if anything was taken from the containers.

Wyandanch: A car window was smashed just before 8 a.m. on August 11. The incident occurred on North 23rd Street.

•At 10 p.m. on August 11, someone damaged the screen of a North 18th Street house window in what may have been an attempt to gain entry.

North Lindenhurst: A car parked on 49th Street was vandalized sometime during the early morning hours of August 10.

Lindenhurst: Someone vandalized a car parked on Montauk Highway August 14, sometime before 9 p.m.

DWI: The following persons have been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired: Kristin M. Evernham, 85 Totten Ave., Deer Park; Denise M. Forker, 86 Mohawk Ave., Deer Park; Huntley C.M. Goldberg, 16 Brookwood Dr., Wheatley Heights; Alonzo Hopkins Jr., 512 Clinton Ave., Lakeview; Thomas R. Seaman, 165 North Greene Ave., Lindenhurst; Moises Ramirez, 99 Spruce Ave., West Islip; Thomas Palella, 41 Manhattan Ave., West Babylon; Kenneth C. Gentz, 1648 Fairfax Rd., West Islip; Vincent L. Natale, 487 18th St., West Babylon;

Rape: Paul X. Figueroa, 246 Nichols Rd., Wheatley Heights (also charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Act);

Robbery: Brenda K. Bettis, 200 Cumberbach St., Wyandanch; Melvin Faines, 63 Lake Dr., Wyandanch; Terrell S. Thomas, 21 Pine Grove Ave., Coram;

Grand Larceny: Nilufar Y. Ahmed, 96 Wright Ave., Deer Park; Vernon Brown Jr., 74 S 31st St., Wyandanch (also charged with Burglary, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Contempt);

Burglary: Jerrodin Ellerbe, 131 Cumberbach Ave., Wyandanch; Michael Greguski, 97 Ellen Sue Dr., Deer Park;

Menacing w/Weapon: Joseph A. George, 120-22 217th St., Cambria Heights, Queens;

Endangering the Welfare of a Child: Shahidah Martin, 11 Chestnut Street, Wyandanch.

The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
