Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club announces its annual steak fry to be held Thursday, August 11, noon to 8 p.m. at Firemen’s Park/Pavilion, Helig Boulevard off North Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst. The event will be held rain or shine. The cost is $12 for steak and chicken and $5 hamburgers to be served with salad, corn, bread and dessert. There will be over 100 prizes in the organizations $1 raffle with all funds going to the Lindenhurst Kiwanis scholarship fund which has given over $270,000 to college-bound seniors.
