Bay Shore student named News 12 Scholar Athlete
Ranked in the top 25 of his graduating class with a 1350 SAT score, an unweighted grade point average of 3.951, and co-president of the National Honor Society, Bay Shore High School student Chris Gloor is an impressive presence in the classroom as well as on the baseball and soccer fields. The 6’5 pitcher/first baseman will be attending Quinnipiac College in the fall. When speaking about his high school experience, Gloor says … "Sports has been a great association for me in many ways - to focus on my school work and help me build my character."
Gloor was selected by the Suffolk County Coaches Association as an All-League player and was runner up for the Gold Glove Award at first base. Baseball coach Dennis McManaway says Gloor "…is a well-balanced, excellent student… one of the finer athletes at our school; a two-sport athlete in baseball and soccer where he was All-League in both sports."
